WEST NEW YORK – Mayor Felix Roque, who took office in May, scheduled a press conference Thursday to announce that two board members appointed by former Mayor Sal Vega just before Vega left office will have to step down. Roque has been trying to remove those members for months, saying they were appointed at the wrong time, according to state law.

Roque’s spokesman said that the state has ruled that Janet Passante and Alexander Locatelli will have to go.

More details will be published after they are announced.
