Golf lessons offered
The Recreation Department’s fall golf lessons will soon be available for Weehawken residents. Classes will be held from Oct. 3 through Nov. 21, on Mondays from 7 to 8 p.m. Please call the Recreation Department at (201) 319-6061 for additional information, including the cost of classes.

Benefit will help fund HRPAC concerts
An event featuring live music, sushi, and sake will be held at the NY Waterway Port Imperial Ferry Terminal in Weehawken on Oct. 25 from 7 to 10 p.m. It is organized by the Young Professionals of the Hudson Riverfront Performing Arts Center, and proceeds will support the free concerts at the waterfront. Story time at the Weehawken Library
The Weehawken Public Library will begin registration for its popular Circle Time and Story Time Programs on Monday, Oct. 3 at 9 a.m. Registration should be done in person and is available only to Weehawken residents. Proof of residency and child’s birth certificate or passport are required. Phone registration will be accepted but the participant must present required documents at the time of the first class.
Circle Time Junior for babies 6 to 18 months consists of music and nursery rhymes. Circle Time Senior for children 19 to 24 months includes music, movement, singing, simple stories, using rhythm instruments and puppets. It builds language, memory and socialization skills.
Story Time for 2 and 3 year-olds offers interactive seasonal storytelling, art and music, using themes to focus on early childhood development and skills. Story Time for 3 and 4 year-olds is a structural class using stories, music, dancing and art, providing an early introduction to letters, numbers, color recognition and character building.
The programs will take place on the following dates: Circle Time Junior 6-18 months, on Wednesdays from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.; Circle Time Senior 19-24 months, on Thursdays from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.; Story Time 2-3 year olds on Tuesdays from noon to 1 p.m., and Story Time 3-4 year olds on Saturdays from 10:30 to 11:30 p.m.

Free High Holiday Services
Chabad Jewish Center of Hoboken offers free High Holiday Services for Rosh Hashana (Sept. 28 - 30) and Yom Kippur (Oct. 7 - 8).
All services will take place at the Boys and Girls Club, 123 Jefferson St., Hoboken (1st floor).
There are no membership fees and Chabad’s services are open to all Jews. Chabad runs a traditional service with a contemporary message in a warm and inclusive atmosphere. Hebrew and English prayer books are provided.
There will be a children’s room with books, games and snacks and a children’s program for part of the service.
RSVP’s are appreciated especially if you intend to stay for the luncheons.
