Dear Editor:

I want to commend Hoboken City Council members Mason, Castellano, Russo, and Occhipinti for helping to obtain more give backs from the buyer of Hoboken University Medical Center. I am very pleased to see there will be a sports medicine program, which will be helpful for Hoboken’s many young athletes. In addition, I am very pleased there will be important health programs such as a women’s facility and Alzheimer’s care unit. This hospital will serve residents of all ages well. I look forward to the great contribution Hoboken University Medical Center will make to our City in the future.

Talk about Chutzpah! Bad enough Tanya Garcia has the nerve to be grateful to Mason and her obstreporous cohorts on the City Council, who repeatedly tried to tank the deal to retain our only hospital in town. But on top of that, we now find out that Garcia works for these clods and then sends in a note praising them? Hoboken politics is getting about as nauseated as I've ever experienced. And doesn't the Hudson Reporter have a responsibility to identify her as an employee of Mason and company when she sends in a gratuitous letter like that? I suspect that the reason so many people are posting hostile responses to the actions and behavior of these jerks is because the residents of Hoboken- particulalry the newer arrivals- have just had it up to here with there disgusting shenanigans.

Complete and utter BS. Beth et al obstructed all the way to the end. The only real concession they got was a seat on the board. Everything else was already promised by HoldCo. Beth Mason continues to take credit for others work. Similar to her bogus resume and her lying about the true size of surplus. It's one lie after another with that woman.

wow! really?? Beth never seems to amaze me...Tanya Garcia is an employee of Beth's and didn't write this herself...am sorry but she def. doesn't have the brains for this...I mean have you ever had a conversation with her??? She's the female version of Matt Calichio, her mentor who's also another employee of Beth's! Can't wait for election time in April and May 2012....the circus acts will begin!

Ms. Garcia is on Beth Mason's payroll. Maybe it's time to post a disclaimer on this letter?

Well this is certainly rich irony. The self-proclaimed Queen of Transparency is still desperate to have her political operation further planted into the public domain.

Will the Hudson Reporter play along or will their be a story on MORTe's so called side deal coming?

Their political operation was printed here without any follow up or other view involved on the hospital sale: the Hospital Authority, the mayor's office, other City Council members or Holdco.

Now this little bit of Beth Mason deception, all par for the course.

Once again a little butter for everyone's bread, this time another person on the Beth Mason payroll.

It is often as important to know who is writing these letters as what is being sad.

To have somone on Mrs. Mason staff and the sister in law of her political ally Carmelo Garcia changes how one views what was written.

Much if not all of the givebacks Mrs. Mason and the City Council minority are claiming credit were already part of the official HUMC agreement.

Understandably they needed some political cover to reverse their extreme opposition to the sale.

Many people did much to make the sale of Hoboken Hospital happen and unfortunately a minority worked hard to sabotage it.

Ms. Garcia is an employee of Beth Mason at 1200 Washington. She's on her payroll.

Did the HR edit that portion from the letter?

I'm sure there's an explanation for this lack of transparency. Maybe Garcia's boss can explain.

Quick correction: They did nothing of the kind.

They probably won't be around to thank you for writing this, so you'll have to accept whatever thanks they gave you when they told you to write it.

They'll be busy lawyering up for the foreseeable future. Something about the FBI...
