Seniors received free hair and nail treatments at Robert Fiance Beauty Salon Wednesday, Dec. 21, in the spirit of the holiday season.
"One day a customer came into the school and asked about senior specials," co-owner Krystine Rodriguez said. "We thought to ourselves, 'Why don't we give back to the community and offer our seniors the chance to be beautiful this Christmas?'"
Around 120 students and employees were on hand, dressed brightly in red and green, and were enthusiastic about helping out and "beautifying the town." They had around 20 clients already at 10:15 a.m., and they had only just opened their doors at 9:30.
"We hope they will keep on coming," co-owner Patti Lynam said. "For me, giving back is a responsibility; especially around this time of year."
The salon plans to hold more free outreach events all throughout the season, and hopes to offer their free holiday services to seniors every year.
