In my opinion, Bobbie Anderson, union leader and president of the S.E.A., once again “misled” the public. A press release was sent out last week stating that Mr. Anderson would file a list of grievances at the Thursday BOE meeting. In a union, a grievance is filed when a contract is violated. He never filed one grievance at this meeting or in the last three years that the superintendent has been here.
He is the one who is in violation of the SEA contract and board policy. Board Policy No. 1100 requires the SEA member to settle any concerns with the principal at the building level. If they are not addressed, only then do they go to the superintendent level.
At several public meetings, Mr. Anderson stated he refuses to speak to the superintendent of schools or the board of education. How then do we resolve problems?
Again and again, he says one thing and it’s something else. Misled, misspoke – call it what you like.
