Dear Editor:

I played football. I was a football coach. I have been involved in the B of Ed. elections in Secaucus going to the late 60s. I know first hand the politics that take place in Secaucus B of Ed Elections.

I liken B of Ed elections to coaching or playing the game of football. You have to be strong enough to understand how ruthless and vicious the game can become. Knowing you can get hurt, knowing that you must stay focus. After all my years of involvement in this game I have never lost interest in this game and my motivation/goal for being in the game. That goal being, keeping politics out of our school system. Bottom line, I know what this game is all about. However at this point in time I do not know how the candidates that remain in this years election plan to play the game. Time will tell.

The game is about to start. How many candidates will the political powers that be file? How many candidates will the political powers withdraw at the last minute? Will the remaining candidates file as a Team? Again I repeat, time will tell.

I cannot wait for the game to begin.
