Funeral services were held July 10 for Edward Sonvico, 89, of North Bergen. He passed away July 6. He was born in Union City. Edward was a veteran of the Navy serving in World War II. After retiring from the Union City Post Office, where he worked as a letter carrier for 38 years, he then worked for Metro Media Corp. Secaucus, until finally retiring in 1991. Edward was the husband of Elda; father of Sandra Gianakakos and Bruce Sonvico; survived by sister Clara Nicomini; also a grandfather of three grandchildren and six great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Services arranged by the Leber Funeral Home, Union City.
