HOBOKEN -- The Hopatcong Board of Education hired former Hoboken High School Principal Noreen Lazariuk at a meeting Monday night, according to a report on Hopatcong Patch. Lazariuk will make a pro-rated $132,500 salary from Sept. 1 to June 30, slightly less than $137,500 as the Hoboken High School principal.

According to the site, Lazariuk agreed to take a $2,500 pay decrease from the initial offer she was given after the school board could not come to an agreement. Following a closed-door meeting, the board unanimously appointed her.

Hoboken will have roughly a month and a half to appoint a principal for the upcoming school year. A message was left for Dr. Mark Toback, Hoboken Superintendent of Schools, and an update will be posted here at hudsonreporter.com when we get more information.
