HOBOKEN -- A man was taken to Jersey City Medical Center Thursday evening after after being struck by a New Jersey Transit light rail train at the Second Street stop in Hoboken, according to published reports.

NJ Transit spokesman John Durso Jr. reportedly said the man rode his bicycle around a southbound train but was "struck by a northbound train moving at low speed."

The man suffered head and leg injuries.

This commitment to bike lanes in the middle of the road, or painting a bicycle in the middle of road was bound to cause accidents. It's a matter of time before someone loses their life.

Some roads should have bike lanes and some roads should not allow bikes! It is common sense that should have been learned shortly after the training wheels were taken off!

LOL what does a bike lane have to do with a man getting hit by a light rail? Do you think there's a light rail line hugging the bike lane and accidentally ran into this guy?
