Thank you, Judicke's Bakery

To the Editor: We would like to publicly thank Judicke’s Bakery for having a caring staff that goes above and beyond for their customers. They are a rare gem in today’s fast-paced world. Recently, our daughter was married in California. In order to recognize her Bayonne roots, she decided to include Judicke’s sprinkled donuts in the hotel guest welcome bags. We arranged for 12 dozen Judickie’s sprinkled donuts to be picked up and delivered overnight to the hotel in California so that we could have fresh donuts for the arriving guests.

When we arrived in California, my cell phone showed I had missed five phone calls from an unknown number and it started ringing again as we were getting off the plane. I answered the phone to find Michele from Judicke’s on the line, telling me that the overnight express carrier never picked up the donuts. Michele and her daughter were kind enough to take the donuts to the UPS store and they coordinated between me and the UPS clerk to be sure that the donuts were placed on the truck to ensure overnight delivery.

Michele and her daughter not only went above and beyond in taking the donuts to UPS, but they stayed with the packages for over two hours to be sure that they would be sent out to us. This kind of customer service is unheard of today and we want to publicly acknowledge the outstanding care and concern demonstrated by Michele and her daughter. They went above and beyond what anyone would expect.

Thanks to Michele and her daughter, our New Jersey guests were surprised and thrilled to enjoy Judicke’s sprinkled donuts in California, and the guests from other parts of the country were introduced to this delicious treat – and they loved them!
