A funeral mass was offered Jan. 31 at St. Elizabeth R.C. Church in Linden for Francis J. DiMaio, of Linden, formerly of Jersey City. He passed away Jan. 27. Born in Jersey City, Frank lived there for 62 years before moving to Linden In 2004. After serving in the Army during the Vietnam War, Frank joined the Jersey City Police Department in 1967 where he was a well decorated Police Officer for 35 years retiring in 2002.

Frank simultaneously owned a stationary store in the Greenville Section of Jersey City for 27 years with his wife Rosalba. He was a member of the VFW Post 810 Jersey City, The Fraternal Order of Police, Jersey City POBA and the P&H Rod & Gun Club in Jersey City. Frank is survived by his wife of 44 years Rosalba DiMaio; brothers John and Thomas DiMaio; a sister Nancy DiMaio; and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Frank is predeceased by his parents Francesco and Theresa DiMaio; a brother Louis DiMaio; and a sister Maria DiMaio. Services arranged by the Werson Funeral Home, Linden.
