A funeral service took place Feb. 8 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Secaucus, for Edward W. Kane, 90, of Secaucus. He passed away Feb. 4. He was the husband of the late Geraldine Kane; father of Kathy Kuchar and her husband Alex, Richard Kane and his wife Lori Ann and Karen Sargent and her husband Thomas; grandfather of Christine Padilla and her husband Thomas, Thomas Sargent Jr., Kane Alexis Pelrine and her husband Richard, Erik Sargent, Alex Kuchar, Richard Kane Jr., Kevin Kuchar, Kendra Kane, Kaitlin Kuchar, Kelsey Sargent, Patrick Kane and Kendall Sargent; great grandfather of Briana, Thomas, Isabel and Zoe; brother of the late Robert Kane and Vera Hill; and brother in law of Joyce and William Horan and Charles and Ellen Pilger. Edward served his country in the United States Navy as a SeaBee during WWII where he was involved in the Invasions of Sicily, D Day at Normandy Beach, Italy and the Africa. Edward was a Quality Controller for Continental Can and American Can. Services arranged by the Mack Memorial Home, Secaucus.
