HUDSON COUNTY -- How are police trained to deal with the mentally ill, particularly those who may pose no harm to others if dealt with properly, but seem like a threat because of erratic behavior?

The Record of Hackensack posted a long story on the matter on Thursday, citing recent cases in North Bergen and elsewhere. There was also a recent case in Jersey City.
