Dear Editor:

On behalf of the Town Council and myself, I would like to thank the 44 talented artists who gave us the opportunity to showcase their artwork and the 23 poets who shared their creative expression in their interpretive readings at the 3rd Annual Secaucus Resident Art Show. Without your creative spirit this event would not have been possible!

I would like to extend our gratitude to the people behind the scenes, who helped in making this event such a success: Rob Accerra, Regina Bator, Rick Beusing, Raymond Cieciuch, Sharon Dellafave, Marilyn DePice, Benjamin Dineen, Bobby Flannagan, Melissa Dargan Heintjes, Ruth Holzschuh, Anthony Impreveduto, Jason Leppin, Nancy Minervini, Lou Minervini, Burt Naszimento, Jim Neubert, Kevin O’Conner, Lee Penna, Cheryl Pirro, Catherine Romano, Andrea Siegel, Joe Sferlazza, Thomas Tufaro, and Kelly Waters.

I would like to thank Jeff Nowmos who provided the background music that set the tone for the evening, Ed Haggerty, Cyndi Pronevich, and the team at Classic Party Rentals who transformed the Town Hall into a gallery showplace, China Chef, Filomena's, Mausam, Meadowlands Hospital, and Toscana for providing the delicious appetizers, and the teen volunteers from S.A.I.L., P.T.P.I., and Wrap-4-A-Smile.

Finally, I would also like to thank the wonderful people of Secaucus for coming out and showing their support for these talented artists and poets living within our community.

Regards,
Mayor Mike Gonnelli
