I am writing this letter using my head for the process of the words and thoughts but the true capacity to present this really coming from my heart.
As a senior resident and one who loves Jersey City completely I am working earnestly for the re-election of Jerramiah T. Healy as our Mayor. We further stand behind Dr. Charles Epps for our Greenville councilmember and At Large Brennan, Richardson and Perez.
In words of our great President Barack Obama “To continue America moving forward we need more leaders like my friend, Jerry Healy.” This quote says it all in respect to keeping Jersey City moving forward.
The records certainly reflect that Mayor Healy has been an advocate for sensible gun laws and his effort in this area has been over the past years being one of the founding members of the bipartisan “Mayors Against Guns” recognized by the president. He has a proven track record of accomplishments moving our bond outlook from negative to positive, stabilization of our tax rate without loss of public safety personnel and has supported the efforts of our police department in the reduction of the crime rate in our city.
Our mayor certainly is running on a most positive record, his opposition has been a councilmember for the past seven years plus and has always offered critical comments but never a real solution to a problem or issue. It is clear and always has been clear that Mayor Healy is not endeavoring to run for higher office and his entire life goals has been for our people. Can the opposition commit to the same statement in an honest mode?
Let us stand together side by side, shoulder to shoulder, with our heads up high and re-elect Mayor Jerramiah T. Healy for the next four years for our sake and our children’s sake.
