Dear Editor:

Backpacks for Better would like to dedicate this thank you letter to all who helped us on May 3, 2013, at our food drives in front of A&P and Shop-Rite.

First, thank you to Mr. John Bincoletto, manager of the A&P, and to Maryann Donahue and Lawrence R. Inserra, Jr. of Inserra Supermarkets for allowing us to have the food drive in front of your stores. We would also like to thank our teacher, Joe Golossi, for helping us organize this event up and making it flexible throughout the day for us to attend. A thank you as well to the eighth grade parents who chaperoned us, and to the eighth graders who walked back and forth from school with bags of food donations. And lastly, a big thank you to the people of Hoboken who donated hundreds of food items in helping us fight child hunger right here in our community. We greatly appreciate those of you who stopped to listen to us and who donated bags of food and money. It was touching to watch that some of you even made a second trip into the store to help our cause! If anyone is interested in finding out more about our project please check us out at: http://www.ecsnj.org/backpacksforbetter/index.html

Once again, thank you all for helping us fight child hunger in Hoboken.

Sincerely,
Backpacks for Better Elysian Charter School's Eighth grade
