JERSEY CITY AND BEYOND -- Safe Kids Hudson County/Jersey City Medical Center Trauma Division will host the first Safe Kids Day event in Jersey City on Saturday, May 18 at the Target Store Parking lot (100 14th St. (at Washington Blvd.).
“When a child dies or is seriously injured the lives of families and entire communities are changed forever,” said Marissa Fisher, a trauma nurse and Injury Prevention Coordinator at Jersey City Medical Center. “But, the majority of these injuries are completely preventable.
In partnership with Children’s Tylenol and through support from the GM Foundation and Wells Fargo, Safe Kids Day will be celebrated in more than 100 communities across the United States. All events will focus on celebrating kids and helping families learn simple things they can do to protect children everywhere.
