BAYONNE-- Ann Marie Ubl, 42, a special education teacher for 17 years, has been charged with multiple counts of theft as a result of police investigation, according to a release issued by the Bayonne Police department on May 15.
According to the release, Url was charged after an investigation concluded that she allegedly took a Casio G-Shock watch from a desk drawer at the Lincoln School front office at the end of March. The value of the watched was placed at $90.
On May 2, $546 in cash allegedly was taken from a locked strong box also located in that office.
The police said the other thefts had been reported within the school over the prevous three years, all of small amounts.
Based on the theft of the watch and money, and because of the prior thefts, the Police Department set up surveillance at the office and $250 in cash was put into the lock box of the previous theft.
On May 15, Ubl was seen allegedly removing the money from the box and allegedly put it into her pocket. She was arrested and charged.
