Dear Editor:

What happened in West New York two years ago when incumbent Mayor Sal Vega lost his seat as Mayor to Dr. Felix Roque and now what happened to Mayor Jeremiah Healy losing his seat as Mayor of Jersey City. This is an indication that every Mayor in Hudson County is at risk in keeping their elected seat.

There is only one mayor that will keep his seat as long as he wants and that is the Mayor of Union City Brian P. Stack. With an open door policy and a transparent government the services that Brian gives the residents is the main reason why Brian gets 87per-cent approval. What gets other political figures in trouble they are not visible and don’t solve daily problems. When is time to vote, residents don’t forget how they have been treated by their elected officials. There are too many politicians throughout the state of New Jersey that have a close door policy, with Brian is different residents have full trust in Brian P. Stack. Mayor Stack is different from others because he sees over 300 residents a week and returns all phone calls.

In the future it will be very difficult to unseat Brian because of his work ethic. If Brian wants to run for Congress or Governor he has as good of a chance as anyone but knowing Brian I know he is very happy being mayor of the city he truly loves.

With Respect,
Raul ‘Pico’ Marquez
