A funeral mass was celebrated June 1 at St. Aloysius Church for Michael P. Deloughery, 57, a true native son of Jersey City. He passed away at Hackensack University Hospital on May 28. Born and raised in Jersey City, Michael was a graduate of St. Aloysius Grammar School and High School. He was the Parts Procurement Manager at Owens Corning where he worked for over 30 years. Prior to that, he was a bartender at the Park Tavern in Jersey City. Michael was a devout Catholic and parishioner of St. Aloysius Parish where he was a member of the Holy Rosary Society and served as an Usher. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Moose Lodge 266. Michael was predeceased by his parents, William L. “Red” and Catherine “Kay” Deloughery and his brothers Larry and John. He was the brother of Thomas and his wife Geri, James and his wife Kathy and Timothy Deloughery; uncle of Lt. Col. Cheryl Deloughery, USAF and her husband, Lt. Col. Andrew Lauer, USAF, Kathleen Deloughery, PHD, Michael DiCiancia, James and Peter Deloughery and great-uncle of Lauren and Andrew Lauer. Michael is also survived by a host of cousins and friends too numerous to mention. Services arranged by the McLaughlin Funeral Home, Jersey City.
