Funeral services were held June 2 for Udom ‘Danny’ Tauthong, 68, of Jersey City. He passed away May 27 at Jersey City Medical Center. Udom was born in Thailand in 1944, was one of 10 children, and came to the U.S. in 1971 arriving in Portchester, N.Y., then residing in Lyndhurst, and lived the last 30 years on Graham Street in Jersey City Heights. Udom was employed by the Marriott Hotel at the World Trade Center and he was present at both terrorist attacks. He retired shortly after 9/11. He was an avid sports fan and music lover. He was the life of the party and took great comfort in making sure others eoyed themselves. Udom is survived by his former wife and lifelong friend, Yadira Tauthong; his two sons, Lek Tauthong and Sakda Tauthong; his daughter Tanya Tauthong-Kass; and granddaughters: Anna, Claire, Aliya and Zoe. Services arranged by the Jorge Rivera Funeral Home, North Bergen.
