HUDSON COUNTY -- Since when do tropical storms hit New Jersey in June?

Since today, apparently.

New York news crews were in Hoboken on Friday morning as Tropical Storm Andrea was expected to bring more rains and flooding, particularly during the evening's high tide.

While the storm is unlikely to cause hurricane-like damage, residents of the mile-square city have become more vigilant about the potential for problems in low lying areas.

Jersey City, downtown Weehawken, and Secaucus, near the river, also have experienced flooding during hurricanes.

Keep watching Hudsonreporter.com, Hoboken's only newspaper group, for more information.
