The American Hebrew Academy, an international Jewish college prep boarding school, is proud to announce that Coby Strell from Hoboken, New Jersey is the recipient of a renewable $20000 Honor Society Scholarship to attend the American Hebrew Academy, beginning in the fall of 2013. Coby is a passionate young man with a strong moral compass. He is a tremendous student athlete and excels both on the court and in the classroom. Even with his busy schedule, Coby finds time to give back to others in a variety of ways: he volunteers at the local homeless shelter and has raised funds for an Israel-based organization called Peace Players, which uses basketball as a means of conflict resolution.

The American Hebrew Academy Honor Society, modeled after the National Honor Society, was established in 2009 to recognize exceptional 8th and 9th grade students who have demonstrated excellence in academics, athletics, the arts, leadership and service to their communities.

Sixty outstanding Jewish students from around the world were inducted into the Academy's prestigious Honor Society. However, only a select few were awarded one of the coveted scholarships to be used towards tuition to attend the Academy.
