The Bayonne PAL basketball program is starting registration for the upcoming 2013-2014 summer and winter seasons. The summer season consists of summer skills for children ages 10-15. All first-time registrants must produce proof of age (i.e. birth certificate ,passport ,resident card, etc.) and residency (i.e. lease, utilities bill, cable bill, etc). The fee for summer is $25. The winter season fee is $100. Feel free to call (201) 858-6965 ext.11 after 6 p.m. Registration for the summer season ends June 19. The winter season registration ends Aug. 29.

Vikings 34 Seton Hall 31

The Vikings clinched their close-knit game to advance to the Senior Boys' Championship Game against Miami with the final score of 34-31. In the first quarter, The Vikings led 11-4;in the second quarter Seton Hall had a big second quarter with a 11-3 run to be ahead by 1 with a score at halftime of 15-14. In the third quarter Seton Hall stayed on top with winning the third quarter of a third quarter score of 8-6, and it was 23-20. In the fourth quarter the Vikings took control and eventually won the game by winning the quarter and the game of a score of 14-8. The Vikings were led in scoring by James Barnett whom had 19 points, Shawn Johnson had 6 points, Joseph Ongay had 4 points, Paris Warren had 3 points, and Brandon Reddick had 2 points. Seton Hall were led in scoring by Dennis Mazurkiewicz whom had 15 points; Thomas Jurcisin whom had 8; Sean Barnett had 4, Derrick Shipply had 2; and Carlos Martinez had 2 also.

Miami wins the Senior Boys' Championship over the Vikings with the score of 54-29

Miami won the Senior Boys' Championship with a decisive third quarter spark score of 17-6, to help preserve the lead and win the game with the final score being 54 to 29.At halftime the score was in favor of Miami with a close-knit score of 18-17. The scorers for Miami were Dareyus Valencia whom had 24 points, Devin Hill had 12 points, Idus Moise had 5 points, Deanie Borders had 4 points, Isaiah Dhupeuir had 3 points, Michael Calabrese had 2 points, and Yamil Gonzalez had 1 point. The Vikings were led in scoring by James Barnett whom had 14 points, Shawn Johnson had 5 points, Brandon Reddick had 4 points, Sean Magda and Noah Elam contributed two points each,and Patrick Trapp,and Joseph Ongay whom each had 1 point also.
