Crossing guard to be honored in Union City

UNION CITY -- The City of Union City, Mayor Brian Stack and Board of Commissioners will be holding a Unveiling Ceremony of the Caroline Goodman Memorial Plaque on Thursday, June 20, 2013 at 12 p.m. on the corner of West Street and Eighth Street.

A city spokesman said in a release, “Goodman was a crossing guard at that location for 26 years and eight months. She was very dedicated to the safety of the children in the area, and was loved by all who came in contact with her. Members of the family will be present at the ceremony.”
