HANLEY, JOHN P.
, 45; passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 27, 2013, at his home surrounded by his loving family. John was born in Jersey City and lived most of his life in Bayonne. He was an avid musician and an award-winning sculptor who had several works featured in Fire Mass and Weird N.J. Magazines. He was a published poet and had lectured around the country. Known to many as “Snakedaddy,” he had a lifelong interest in alternative spirituality and progressive politics. Beloved husband of Jennifer Black, loving son of John Hanley and Rose (nee Bickens) Hanley. Dear brother of Joseph M. Hanley and Daniel J. Hanley. Cherished uncle of Megan Hanley. The viewing was at the G. KEENEN O’BRIEN Funeral Home, Bayonne. Cremation private.
