JERSEY CITY – United Water has issued a boil water alert for part of Jersey City. The advisory is in effect from the Hoboken border to Grand Street, and from Interstate 78 to the waterfront, excluding the Newport area. “We understand that this boil advisory is an inconvenience to our customers," said Chris Riat, senior director of NJ contract operations for United Water. “Our first priority was to restore full service, and now we will focus on ensuring the quality of the water in the system.”
