HOBOKEN -- During rush hour on Tuesday, police activity drew a crowd near Third and Jefferson streets in Hoboken where a man's body was found against a fence.

Local officials did not release details immediately, but media reports quoted sources as saying the victim was believed to be a homeless man in his 30s.

Witnesses said the man was punched or pushed, and fell against the fence. Law enforcement authorities are investigating the situation as a homicide, sources said.
