Those whose motto is, "waste not, want not," will be perhaps pleased to know that the pit bulls put down for attacking people (Hoboken Reporter, Aug. 20) won't be wasted. They, along with other euthenized dogs and cats and even roadkill, will be ground up with animals that die of diseases on farms, mixed with hay and antibiotics and feed, and fed to cows.
Cows, in all their eons of evolution, have never eaten such stuff; so keep them alive long enough on this disgusting diet to fatten them for market ("you are what you eat"), they're shot full of drugs and hormones, (damaging aquatic and human life as these chemicals pass through the bowels of Boobus Americanus and get into our drinking water). Then these gentle creatures, who've never kicked up their hooves in the buttercups, or sniffed the immortal grassy air, are herded into filthy, noisy slaughterhouses full of bad karma, ripped apart on assembly lines, put through huge grinders and fed to us.
