During the recent heatwave that we experienced here in Hoboken, like many of my neighbors, I was inconvenienced by the blackouts. During one of them I took my dog out for a walk. As we walked around the neighborhood, I noticed that the high school had their lights on in the cafeteria and other rooms. This made me mad! Real mad!
I am sure all of my neighbors would like to know that we did not have power, yet there is power in the high school, during the summer, at 10 p.m. I can see how that is more important than the taxpayers having AC and fans during a heatwave.
