Due to water damage, Weehawken Elks Lodge 1456 was declared uninhabitable until all repairs are completed.
The Weehawken Elks housed stewards, a lovely family of five, who were rendered homeless due to this disaster. Our Mayor, Richard Turner, practicing a true Elks's Brotherly Love, was quick to hear their cry of distress and fleet of foot to relieve their misfortune. He found a lovely apartment in which the family could reside.
We must comment on our good fortune to have a member who not only professes to care, but who takes an active part to immediately resolve issues created through unforeseen circumstances.
The Weehawken Elks Lodge 1456 wishes to extend our warmest thanks and deepest gratitude to our member and Mayor, Richard Turner.
