To Mayor Brian Stack: I wanted to begin this letter by expressing my gratitude for your clean-up efforts on 48th Street. I certainly am happy and confident knowing that I live in a city where the mayor obviously cares a great deal about the people who live here and listens intently to their voices. Again the conditions of 48th Street have improved tremendously, and I cannot thank you enough; the storefronts and residences have taken on a more pristine image. Additionally, I have been following the continued coverage in the Union City Reporter of the town's cries for volunteer support within the community. Quality of life issues appear to weigh heavily on the minds of most citizens, not only mine. I read in one recent article that you were appealing to Union City residents, encouraging their support volunteering their time and energies.
I feel driven to answer the call and lend my assistance whenever or wherever it is needed. I feel compelled to do this for multiple reasons. For one I want to make an impact on the town that I reside and call home. But more importantly, I feel a loyalty to your efforts based on the professionalism you carry out with your actions. Your timeliness and ability to deliver what you promise speaks volumes of both your character and political abilities. Please point me in the right direction so I know how my assistance can be most beneficial to Union City. I possess several professional skills that can be implemented but also be aware that I am not at all afraid of getting a little grimy. Perhaps you can provide me with a few different contact people who are leading various projects. And I suppose after speaking with them I will have a better feel as to where I should jump in and get to work.
Thanks again for being so diligent and effective as a leader.
Patricia Hurley
