I write this letter in an effort to express my heartfelt thanks to Weehawken's Council members, Mayor Turner, Deputy Mayor Terlizzi, Councilwoman Lavagnino and Councilman Sosa, for the opportunity to fill the open council position of the late Louis Ferullo. Lou, my good friend, was committed to provide the best quality of service for his constituents.
I am truly honored that Raye, Lou Jr., Robert and Natalie Ferullo were able to share in my experience of being sworn in as First Ward Councilwoman. They are all truly special, and I will always hold them near and dear to my heart.
I also wish to thank the many Weehawken residents who displayed their genuine support for me as Lou's successor, as their council representative. It is a great honor for me to represent First Ward residents on the Township council.
Further, I would be remiss if I did not express my deepest gratitude to my husband, Joe, for his never ending love, support and understanding every day of our lives. He has my total and never ending love, support and understanding in return for what I hope and pray to be yet a very, very long time. I also expecially thank my sons, John and Joe, Jr., for their love and support as well as my special friends, Kristina, Sophia and Jeff. Each of them has been alongside me through both good times and bad times. My life is truly blessed with the presence of all of those people, and I cannot thank them enough.
Thanks to my Mom and Dad, Carmela and Gaetano Silvestri, for their guidance over the years. I know they are alongside me every step of the way even though departed.
