It's for the kids

Dear Editor:

On April 20th there will be an election for three seats on the local Board of Education. I am writing to show my support for one candidate in particular, Tammy Goodwin.

Over the past few years in Hoboken, I have seen similar elections come and go and most have the same result, a victory for someone that is only out for some my type of political gain. As a community, we need to ask ourselves if this is right. The answer depends upon if we are a city that cares about its own youth.

I believe that we all should band together and elect the three people that will best serve the interests of our community and its children. Tammy Goodwin, with one of her children currently in the school system and her voice for the necessary improvements, is the right choice for one of these seats on the Board.

On April 20th when you are about to cast your vote, ask yourself are you voting for a political gain or are you voting "for the kids."

Vote 7A, Tammy Goodwin on April 20, 2004.
