More than a year ago the United States of America invaded Iraq to take out Saddam Hussein and his dictatorship government. Our intelligence network told President Bush, Saddam had weapons of mass destruction. Needless to say, this war was started by President Bush's choice, and it is very clear this war is the dream of President Bush, and it is the nightmare of the American people especially those families that have their sons and daughters fighting the wrong war.
This war in Iraq has cost the American government over 200 billions dollars, and this money could have easily been spent in education and in support for all senior citizens health programs.
As a Democrat, I have publicly supported former President Ronald Reagan (1980, 1984) and the former New Jersey Governor Thomas Kean (1984).
Today we need to support Senator John Kerry for President; the country cannot afford to keep George W. Bush for four more years. Also if I may, we need a change in Congress and in the Senate. The American people need to support Democrats at all different levels of representation. If we keep Republicans in control of both houses, Congress and Senate, I must remind the American people that by the time President Bush and his Republican senators and congressmen leave office, we will have a deficit in our national budget of over five trillion dollars.
As an immigrant myself and as an administrator in the adult education program, I am sensitive to international issues, and it is very clear to me that Republicans do not look out for the common citizen but rather they look out for the wealthy families. In Union City we have a perfect illustration what Democrats are all about. There is not one elected official in the state of New Jersey that helps the common, the needy citizens the way Mayor Brian P. Stack does.
I sincerely trust that the American people by now have realized that President Bush made the wrong decision, and this coming November the American people will once again remind the world we are caring, humble human beings.
