We were bound to God and each other.
Bound to be free, with freedom for all.
For united we stand, but divided we fall.
Now millions and millions today still are free -
Celebrating sweet victory!
But, freedom for one, or maybe a few,
while hurting the rest, just won't do.
The greedy; the bully; the killer; the thief,
said "Ha! I'm free", at the cost of our grief.
We bound ourselves to God and His love,
through the cross that bridged the way,
By letting His power of Love, melt and
break the sin chains away - witch brought disunity.
Now our spirits are set free, to live
in love and harmony - for with the law
of love in our hearts, there's just no room
for tyranny!
But, tyrants still rise and claim, "Ha! I am free!"
to rule over all in their tyranny, at the cost of our misery.
So, we all bound together in unity, to bind up
the foes of democracy. Yes! They all had their day,
but we put them away - and now they can't take our freedom away!
Yes, the price for freedom sadly is great,
but thank God for heroes who braved their
fate, so that millions and millions of children
to come, will celebrate sweet victory -
far across the waves, and from sea to shining sea! Elaine R.H.
