In order for a school to boast its accomplishments, the partnership between teachers, students and parents need to be recognized.
This year, two Hoboken High School students will be awarded full four year scholarships to Stevens Institute of Technology. These substantial awards are the result of dedication, hard work and a determination. I would like to commend Stevens for recognizing the potential of our students.
Attending Stevens in the fall will be Joy Medina and Stephanie Moret.
Joy, the daughter of Luis and Gigi Medina, has been an outstanding student throughout her journey through the Hoboken School System. Her positive approach to life has touched our staff and her fellow students. Her parents partnered with us to see to it that Joy always remained focused and committed to success.
Stephanie, the daughter of Freddie and Frances Moret, has similarly been a shining star. I have always had confidence in her abilities as was evidenced in her many talents.
Stephanie's father, Freddy, was a student of mine when I was a teacher, and I am proud of the way he has continued to support public education.
These are just two of the many success stories that will be coming out of Hoboken High School this year. There are many more stories to be told and many more praises to be sung.
Our district is moving forward, and I welcome the community to join us as we travel the road to success.
Sincerely, Patrick Gagliardi Superintendent of Schools
