The fall weather is finally here, and with it are beautiful new clothes and shoes in hues worthy of Mother Nature. This season's clothes are flattering on every figure, with an emphasis on bold accessories. To find out which items will have you runway ready, read on!

The look

The clothes are still in neutral colors that you'll get more mileage out of, like brown, navy, gray, beige, black, and natural tweeds in comfortable, breathable fabrics. (This is true for men's and women's clothing.) Clothing is cut to be form fitting but not tight and is meant to be layered. Since the clothes are in solids, it is easy to mix and match to achieve the proper look.

Like narrow pants that hug the leg with a long sleeved tunic or a long sweater worn over it. Denim is dark this season, worn long or Capri style to show off this year's boots. Jackets should be fitted - and belted. (The bigger belt, the better!) Tops are longer too, some looking more like a mini-dress than a shirt. For glittery appeal, look to the shoes and accessories to give a charge to your outfit.

Accessories

Your mother was right - you can update a look with the right bag and jewelry. Nothing pulls a look together better than the right accessories, which are over-sized this season. When trying to achieve the right balance for the dark hued clothes - think in colors.

Gold or silver beaded jewelry is still in, but it is layered for more impact. Large necklaces can be worn and many bangles can appear on a wrist - just keep the earrings small. Bags are quilted large totes or in the "hobo" style seen in practically every color. (Think reds, leather with gold chains, and leather with fur trim.)

Belts are hot, cut wide in tan, metallic, white, and brown shades.

The shoes

Simple clothes look elegant with fancy new footwear. Boots are back in every kind of gilded variety - healed, flat, cowboy, beaded, studded, fur trimmed, laced - you name it!

Wedges are still fashionable this fall in open toed or closed toe styles. Fancy patent leathers and elegant leather are the looks to keep in mind.
