The life breath of every arts organization is its supporters.
I would like to give public thanks to Councilman Steve Fulop, Mike Ryan of PJ Ryan's and PJ Leonard of Other Side of the River Productions LLC. These three remarkable people approached our theater company with a plan to give a great holiday gift to the senior citizens of Jersey City. Together they bought out all the seats for two entire performances of our recent production of "A Tuna Christmas" and donated them to the local senior centers. They then arranged for transportation to and from the theater. Such generosity should be recognized, and I want to sent the a big thank you. Their generous gift allowed our production to be a success and brought smiles and laughter to the senior members of our community.
Additionally when told of the theater's need for outdoor holiday decorations, Councilman Fulop arranged for the donation of so many lights that we blew out our electric capacity. It is this hands on and logistical support of the arts that makes him such a valuable public official. Thanks again to all!
