Dear Editor:

Forget about it. Democrats aren't going to do what we elected them to do. We were fools to hope. Instead of using their Constitutional authority to end this war based on lies and impeaching the criminals who started it, they're going along with Republicans to give Bush another 100 billion and a "surge" of thousands more soldiers sent to kill more Iraqis and spread hatred of the U.S. Well, its our own fault. Ralph Nader warned us that, despite superficial disagreements, there wasn't "a dime's worth of difference" between the parties, captive as both are to oil and Israel. Anyway, it's clear who rules the country. Not the people. The people spoke loud and clear on election day. This war has already cost enough to fund Social Security for the next 80 years. This "most disastrous blunder in American history" (Pat Buchanan) is robbing our children of their future. We can thank our Congress for this, and let's all, like good little sheep, keep paying our taxes so they can keep on piling debt on our kids.
