Thank you all for the outpouring of support we have received at Holy Family Academy over the past few weeks. You have boosted our morale and have touched the hearts and spirits of our students! We would like to provide an update on our progress in securing HFA's future.
We are pleased to announce that we have another strong and spirited class of freshmen coming in September! This was the first step toward ensuring that this community of faith - composed of students, faculty, staff, parents, alumni/ae focused on the formation of Women of Vision - remains one of Hudson County's most venerable institutions of secondary education. Welcome, students and parents of the Class of 2012, into our family.
We hope that other accepted students and their parents who were understandably reluctant would reconsider and join us. We plan to be in touch with you about our future and what a Holy Family education can mean to your daughter, or you can call us for an appointment to discuss registration for next year.
In addition to registering our freshman class, prominent business and community leaders have been working along with parents and alumni/ae to develop a strategic plan for the future of the school. We are exploring a number of viable options in this strategic plan for HFA's future. These dedicated people assure me that we have more than just hope in our corner right now.
At our town meeting three weeks ago, Mayor Malloy told the crowd "If Holy Family closes, it will diminish the quality of life for the entire community." This statement resonated with many and the response to date indicates that the community does not want this to happen. We are grateful for the support at the rally, at the "Fight for Her" fundraiser on February 16th at the Arts Factory and in the daily donations, letters and emails of support and offers of further assistance.
Please call me at 201-339-7341 if you have any questions or if you would like to get involved in this effort to ensure Holy Family Academy's future as a valuable institution in our community and a viable educational choice for your daughters.
God bless you!
