Dear Editor:

Unable to stop his outstanding work for the residents of Union City and his senate constituency, the political rivals of Brian Stack have been reduced to name calling and the politics of auto destruction.

In a new chapter to smear his name he has been mentioned in a trial where his name has no place: A political corruption Mafiosi-type scenario. It's clear that just the mere fact that he was mentioned by a defendants counsel, without any justified reason in the line of questioning - as Mr. Stack has made clear in a recently published letter - is reason enough for us to react with anger and disgust, as part of his constituency, knowing full well his trajectory as a public servant.

The lady, whose lawyer mentioned Senator Stack's name in the trial, had her bar closed twice in Union City. Once she made a contribution to one of Stack's campaigns, and the funds were donated to a charity organization because Brian Stack is not a corrupt politician. By Hudson County standards Stack is a sort of candle in the middle of the desert. Just take a look at Union City and you'll see the development, clean streets, an effective and extremely professional police department.

Let's encourage him to continue his work on behalf of the people he so proudly represents. His career is there for all to see. Keep the garbage and the mud away from Brian Stack and Union City!
