Dear Editor:

On a recent May Sunday our Mile Square babies, toddlers and big kids showed us their finest in the Hoboken Historical Museum's Seventh Annual Hoboken Baby Parade. Strutting down the Hudson River walkway you could spot butterflies and princesses, cooks and politicians, clowns and tigers all disguised as our neighborhood youth.

Our list of thanks grows longer every year as more families and family-friendly businesses flock to our town. Kudos to all of the creative families who joined the celebration, despite the threat of rain. Thank you to our local policemen who also helped us this year by stopping traffic as the Parade passed by the construction on Pier C.

We extend our gratitude to all of our sponsors who support the Parade-and are themselves dedicated to our town's family community. Special thanks to our Double Stroller Trophy sponsors: Hoboken Pediatrics, Brescia-D'Alberti-Migliaccio, Dental Associates of Hoboken and Hoboken Pediatric Dentistry, IRMS at Saint Barnabas, David L. Principe, MD, and the Hoboken Family Alliance. Our terrific Trophy Sponsors included: Dr. Michael Ahn and Dr. Osbert Fernandez, Beyond Basic Learning, Hoboken Children's Academy, Dr. George McQuilken and Dr. Raul Aguilar, Progressive Pediatrics, World of Wonder Daycare, The City of Hoboken, and HOPES.

Also critical to the Parade's success are all of our Stroller sponsors: A Whole New World Academy, Barefoot Books in Hoboken & Bailemos-Let's Dance, Basil and Lizzie,

Bella Bellies Studio, Bright Beginnings Early Childhood Learning Center, Empower Your Body, Big Fun Toys, Ciao Belly, Club H Fitness, Devotion Yoga, Hartshorn Portraiture, Hoboken Gold and Diamonds, Hoboken University Medical Center, Itty Bitties, Johnny Rockets, The Little Gym, The Melting Pot, Mimosa Digital, Monroe Street Movement Space, Prime Time Early Learning Centers, Romparoo, Shoeuphoria, Small World Pediatrics, Spreading the News-Life is Good, Stand Up, Mama!, Stroller Strides,Wee Beasties Bootery, and Zebu Forno.

Family Fun continues into June at the Hoboken Historical Museum. We look forward to seeing many of our young people along with their adults at the Museum's Family Fun Day on Sunday, June 8th. Design your own Hoboken postcard with artist Raymond Smith from 2-5 p.m. and join Dave Lambert for a concert at 3 p.m.
