I'm watching you!

Dear Editor:

I would like to openly express my dissatisfaction with the action of the majority of the Hoboken City Council at the May 7, 2008 meeting.

After lengthy discussion they voted in favor of moving the small trees planted by the administration in Church Square Park. As a life long Hoboken resident and avid user of the Hoboken Public Library, I long for a peaceful, non-aggressive area of Church Square Park where I can sit and read without fear of being hurt by those using the park as just a playground.

As a 6th Ward resident, I urge Councilman Giacchi to take action to divide the park equally as follows: east side as Church Square Playground, for children's play activity and the west side as Church Square Park for adults to relax and read library books peacefully, without fear of being injured. Please begin this process immediately. I'll be watching.

Thanking you in advance,
Joan Pflug
Lifetime Hoboken resident
