Dear Editor:

For the majority of my life, I have had the pleasure to live in the great City of Union City. Living in Union City, one can expect to be introduced to all kinds of arts from poetry to drama, and all types of cultures from Armenian to Cuban. I believe that the arts are very important to the children and adults of Union City because it gives them the chance to widen their imagination and allows their minds to explore. Being exposed to culture allows us to venture into the heritage of our forefathers or even into the heritage of our neighbors.

I am proud to say that living in Union City has helped me expand my knowledge of crafts with events from State Senator Stack and The Grace Theater Workshop, such as the annual Union City Theater Festival and the monthly Jose Marti Middle School plays.

I want to take the time in this letter to thank my State Senator and Mayor Brian P. Stack, the Department of Public Affairs (who organize most events) and their Commissioner, Lucio P. Fernandez, as well as rest of our hardworking Board of Commissioners. I would also like to thank The Grace Theater Workshop and their artistic director Meagan Fernandez.

Thank you all for taking part in making Union City everything it is today and everything it will become tomorrow.

Respectfully,
Saulo "Sal" Diaz
