Dear Editor:

This letter is in response to Carmine Venezia's letter 'Councilman Fulop should represent JC parkers over out of towners." The Parking Authority rules are a burden to many downtown residents.

I know downtown homeowners who called plumbers/electricians during an emergency and the plumbers/electricians were booted. If it is not an emergency then the servicemen add on to the cost of his time to get a permit.

For years I have spoken before the city council and on more than one occasion, I have said the Parking Authority should build parking garages in various parts of the city.

Councilman Fulop should be commended for his actions to change outdated laws.
