I have a question for the current crop of politicians. Why aren't there any designated parking spaces for our teachers at School #5?. In my opinion, every school should have a parking facility for the teachers.
Parking should be in the development plans for schools. Teaches should not have to worry about finding a parking space or getting a ticket. This puts a lot of unnecessary stress on them. They give their full attention to a class of children all day, and the last thing they need is to find a ticket on their car at the end of the day.
My suggested solution for teacher parking at School #5 is to look into the open space under the NJ Turnpike near the park or provide a shuttle bus from the parking lot on 7th & Manila Ave. to the school. That lot is mostly empty aside from a few police radio cars.
The politicians need to provide for our teachers. I want action now! Let's move forward in all departments of this great city. My fellow neighbor, less talking and much more action.
