Newark Mayor Cory Booker planned to announce his endorsement of Jersey City Mayor Jerramiah Healy in his mayoral reelection bid at a 4 p.m. news conference this afternoon on the steps of City Hall, 280 Grove St. Both Booker and Healy endorsed President Barack Obama during his presidential campaign last year, and both have been close politicial allies for several years. Healy has also received the endorsement of Gov. Jon Corzine, State Sen. Sandra Cunningham and New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg. - Ricardo Kaulessar
