A funeral mass was offered Jan. 17 at St. Ann’s RC Church, Hoboken, for Peter L. Catania, 80, of Hoboken. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Jan. 13. Born to the late Michael and Jennie Catania, Peter served his country in the United States Army. He worked as a printer for Poggi Press in Hoboken for over 48 years, retiring in 1998. Peter was a member of the Hoboken Knights of Columbus, a bingo worker, and usher at St. Ann’s RC Church. Peter is predeceased by his late sister, Amelia Pridmore. He will be missed by his wife, Josephine Catania (nee: Vicoli); his daughters, Gina Roderand her husband Alan, Mary Perry and her husband Vito; and his sisters, Jean Catania, Florence Pasquale, Kathleen Castellitto, and Sarah Pernetti. A great joy in Peter’s life were his grandchildren, Tommy, Raquel, Kenny, and Ricky Roder, and Michael and Gabriella Perry. Services arranged by the Failla Memorial Home, Hoboken.
