On January 12, 2014 my family and I suffered the sad and untimely passing of one of the most caring people in the world, my wife, Elaine “Lainy” Flood. The suddenness of her death left me and her entire family in a state of shock. The toll of her passing hit all of her family extremely hard. I believe the stress was unbearable for my dear mother, Mary Lou, who passed a mere 16 days later on January 28, 2014.
At this time, the Flood, Bosotina & Verdon families would like to extend our appreciation to all family members and friends who have supported us with their prayers and comforting intentions. Words can not express how we all feel. The solace from all was immeasurable. Since we can not thank everyone individually, although we will try when we come face to face with you all in our daily endeavors, I would hope this letter suffices.
We would like to extend our most heartfelt thanks to the following:
Mayor Richard Turner and the Weehawken Township Council, the Weehawken Police Department & Local PBA, the North Hudson Regional Fire & Rescue & Locals FMBA & PFANJ.
The Weehawken Elks Lodge, who not only opened their doors, but their hearts as well in our time of need. The support from the firemen will never be forgotten. The police escorts were nothing but spectacular. Again, our most heartfelt thanks to all who alleviated some of our pain in the loss of those so dear.
God bless you all,
David Flood & Family
